Perimeter Intrusion Detection Systems are your first defence against unauthorised access to your business or residential premises.
Whether, detecting, delaying or deterring perimeter incursions our systems will provide you with breach alerts to your security system for you to take action.
A successful perimeter detection system can be achieved via employing any number of methods – generally the more the better, including:
Barrier Sensors – are just that, a physical obstruction to prevent access with a detection sensor to warn of a breach or attempted breach.
Volumetric Sensors – These sensors cover pre-determined areas that alert to the presence of intruders as they pass through the monitored sector. This may be achieved via radar, a change in electrostatic fields or microwaves.
Targets are detected based on their conductivity, size and movement.

Senstar’s perimeter security sensor detection field works by underground cables producing an invisible radar field to the area above.
Since minimum requirements are required for detection (the sensor is based on conductivity), small animals do not trigger erroneous alarms.
Further nuisance alarms are avoided as the OmniTrax® is also able to filter out varying weather conditions such as rain, wind, snow or disturbed debris.
Each cable produces a volumetric field to 1m high x 3m wide, through grass and bushes & trees. There is also bi-directional communication through the cable, so should it become damaged or severed in one place, detection fields remain either side of the damaged point all the way around the perimeter.

Fence Sensors – Sensors mounted on, for example, an existing fence that can intelligently detect vibrations caused by someone either trying to cut or traverse the barrier.

XField® |
XField® is an electrostatic field disturbance sensor.
The sensor follows the perimeter and is a volumetric sensor that creates an electrostatic field. A set of 4 or 8 parallel field and sense wires causes its processor to sense changes in that field when events, such as intruders penetrating the wires, take place.
The system coverage is typically 2 meters high and 2 meters wide when the parallel wires are installed at 15cm intervals up to 1.2 meters. This detection field is also set so foliage, small animals and weather do not lead to nuisance alarms. |
